Possible cmpa allergy

I've just been prescribed a formula for my 5month old for a suspected cmpa allergy. Does anyone know if they rink more whilst on this formula? My LO generally struggled to tale more than 150 without being uncomfortable on our previous formula which resulted in lots of little feeds. But the past 3 feeds on the new formula he has drank loads.. 220ml before bed! Is this usual on the prescribed formula? TIA

I don't have experience but could be that his symptoms are improving and he is able to feed more. What were his symptoms to suspect the allergy?

They suspect the non-IgE type f allergy that appears over a prolonged period of time. He has bad constipation, wind issues, rashes on his body, hayfever like symptoms with reoccurring eye infections and more recently a bright red ring around him bumhole that nothing is budging so now on steroid cream. I'm hoping so that it might be less painful for him to drink as the Dr won't send us for official allergy tests until we've done a trial of the milk

This link says improvement in symptoms can occur within days. I hope other people will share their experience.
