Until what age do babies need burping?

Hi all,

My LO is 11 weeks now and I'm noticing that he doesn't always want to burp after a feed, sometimes he'll fall into a deep sleep and burp a few hours later when he wakes up. Is this ok? Or should I always burp him?

What age did you stop burping your babies?
