Pain and feverishness with breastfeeding

I have a 4 week old ebf baby and I feed him every 2-3 hours during the day and every 3-4 hours during the night (roughly). I find my breasts are permanently quite tender, verging on painful, to touch and I start to feel really feverish if I haven't fed for a while or if they become at all engorged. Is this normal at this stage and if it is when will it pass?! It's becoming quite draining!

I would ring your HV to explain as you could have mastitis.
If not then it can take a litle while for your milk supply to stabilise, especially with feeding on demand. My baby will sometimes only go 30 mins before next feed...then between 3-7 hours at night. There is not structure and mine get painful. So when they do I just hand express into a muslin to take the edge off
