My 3 and a half week old is on Aptimil powder formula. He was feeding brilliantly until about 5 days or so ago now he really struggles to take his feeds, he's in so much discomfort, he cries for the bottle but seems to choke drinking it, even after he's brought up all his wind he's seems distressed and needs calming in between about every ounce he drinks
He needs settling so much during a feed now that it takes well over an hour until he's finished so the feeds are almost just running into each other.
I remember when DS1 was on SMA the formula seemed thicker than Aptimil, this seems very watery by comparison so I was wondering about switching to that?
I have asked HV advise, to which she said to go with my instinct but don't know if I'm just messing his little digestive system around for no reason?
Any help
