Yesterday morning my son had his 7oz bottle at 630am as usual but projectile vomited the lot up after about 10 mins. Before I took him to nursery I offered him another bottle incase he was hungry and he took 5 oz.

All was fine so just thought it was a one off but then nursery called at 930 to say he was sick.

Took him home and he was absolutely fine in himself for the rest of the day and was eating and drinking same as normal.

He's been fine all day today, had a bolognese dinner at 5 followed by his nighttime bottle at 730 but again he has just projectiled it all up again. No food in the sick, no temp and was laughing straight after so again seems fine in himself.

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance

Could it just be a bug?

Have you changed the size of his bottle teat or anything??

Boop84 · 13/08/2017 17:57

Hi, no have not changed a thing. Wondering if it's because he is upping his food intake and it's simply a case of it being too much for him. So far so good today but let's see how we get on with the night time bottle x

It may well be he's taking too much. Dd used to gorge herself on milk, then throw it up in a 2 metre arc. It was impressive. Does he still seem well otherwise? And is it all basically milk coming up? Ie looks exactly the same coming back as it did going down?

DS is a very pukey baby and I've noticed he vomits if I feed him too soon after he has a bottle, or vice versa. I have to be careful not to overfill him.

Of course it could just be a little bug, especially if he's at nursery.

I wouldn't worry unless it keeps happening or he has a temp etc

My daughter done the same, I cut back the amount of milk and increased the duration between feeding and that seemed to settle it.

Hi Boob84, did you ever get to the bottom of it as my son is now 8 months and started doing the exact same thing.
