If Baby sleeps for 7/8 hours, do I need to pump?

So I have a 9 week old baby who is breastfed. He has just this week starting sleeping from 8pm-3 or 4am. So 7 or sometimes 8 hours.
What I am wondering is will it affect my supply if he continues like this? I fed my other two children but the first I gave up after a few months, and the second I fed for over a year but she woke up every 3 hours consistently so this issue never came up!

So if new DC sleeps like this for the next few weeks, but then say regresses at 4 months and needs to be fed more frequently at night, will my milk supply have dried up in the night? I have not been pumping during the night, when he has slept til 4 I am quite full but then he has a big feed and I am fine.
I'd like to continue breastfeeding for a year anyway but also would love to think i have one baby who is a reasonably good sleeper!!

Hi OP. my ebf baby started sleeping from 10pm - 5am at 6 weeks but on the occasions she has woken up in the night there is still milk there. she's now changed her pattern (now 18 weeks) and is sleeping from 8/9 until 3 for a feed then until 5/6. theres always milk when she wakes in night. no need to pump just enjoy the extra sleep. your supply is well established at 9 weeks and will adjust if necessary

Your supply will adjust for when your baby needs it. My daughter was ( initially) an amazing sleeper and the milk was always there, sometimes uncomfortable for me but it all works out in the end.

Great that's good to know. I realise it won't last more than likely but I'm enjoying the sleep as my middle child was the worst sleeper ever!
