Add a bit of juice perhaps?

Soup- DS is 5 1/2 months.

Indiajane - I've tried peach flavoured and he literally spat it across the room.

Apple juice with water? I think your best bet is probably to sweeten the water with something.

Oddly my 2 loved dioralyte (sp?) perhaps try some of this as it is obviously targeted at dehydration

Indiajane- many thanks...off to try and find some then hopefully get it down his neck!

Water from one of those dosing syringes you get with medicine?

Any ideas as to why he's off milk?

chilledmama · 27/03/2007 18:42

He has a cough and a cold. May be teething and it all seems to be affecting him.

i have heard someone say flat cola for dehydration?? not too sure about that because of the sugar etc but will a very small amount of flat cola restore the sugars he needs??

nopudstilleaster · 27/03/2007 19:30

the syringe is a good idea or what about trying to get him to sip water from a spoon?

SoupDreggon · 27/03/2007 20:26

Personally, I wouldn't worry. Doc said "a little dehydrated" so I don't think you need to worry too much about him right now. Calpol/medised for teh cough/cold/teething and keep bf-ing him

SoupDreggon · 27/03/2007 20:27

I wouldn't give a 5 1/2 month old flat coke !!
