How`do you stop 9 month old trying to pull your boobs out in public?

Title says it all really. DD loves her booby and thinks if she can see them she can have them.
I usually wear vest tops, coz they're easy for feeding. But if i'm holding her she is constantly pulling at my boobs to get to them. Or trying to lie herself down to get into position (lol).

I have little scratch marks all over my boobs where she has been trying to get to them.

Just wandered if anyone had any experience of this, what did you do?

Not sure you can wear an easy-access top all the time and not expect her to try and get at them.

Cardigan?

I have the same problem with my DS (10 months). Agree about covering up, it does seem to help (at least it deflects their razor sharp little nails). Otherwise I also try:

  1. Position - face her outwards so she can't see your boobs and doesn't feel she's in a feeding position
  2. Distraction - rattle/toy/song whatever works for her!
  3. Oral gratification - stuff in a tommy tippee cup or a bread-stick or something for her to suck on.

Have to say though, sometimes I feed him just to get him to shut up!
