Time to stop bf

The time has come to stop bf my 11.5 month old. He's my third and i'm a bit sad, but he wants to climb all over me while feeding, help himself at odd times etc. I went back to work when he was 12 weeks, have been expressing at work since then but stopped this week. He took a bottle of formula last weekend, but since then refuses. He's eating more solids during the day, but desperate for milk when I get home. Can I try cows milk? Work is so busy, I can't find time to express 2 x a day anymore!!! He still is up every 2-3 hours at night to feed too. I'm hoping I can wean him completely in the next couple of weeks? I can't remember how I did it with the other two, I think it was more gradual?

I would think at almost a year old you could try cows milk, better some cows milk than no milk at all surely? Have you thought about trying a different formula? I ebf until 6 months and then started giving 1 bottle of formula per day because I couldn't express anymore. My DD would only take hipp organic, she didn't like and if the other usual supermarket available brands (fussy madam)!
