Refulx - easiest way to give Infant Gavison to breastfed 6 week old

My 6 week old dd has today been preswcribed Infant Gaviscon for what appears to be reflux. Only problem is it is very difficult to administer - tried this afternoon using a small medicine syringe however, the majority of it came back out and she was choking as I was giving it to her (and I was putting it in very slowly).

Any tips/ideas greatly appreciated.

I had to do this with DS1. I tried spoon-feeding it to him and luckily he actually really liked the taste. Might be worth a try. HTH

Any other suggestions please.
OP Should say reflux not refulx!

I used a bottle to give gaviscon (TT closer to nature - no 3 teat was big enough) to my bf ds. But like GGME I eventually found he got to like the taste and would take it off a spoon. I was told that aiming a syringe into the inside of the cheek rather than the back of the mouth was effective, but I never got the hang of it.

My sis gives her dd it mixed with 1 oz of expressed milk in a bottle - still on the one hole teats I think.

I used a syringe and found it was ok, but you have to put it in their cheek rather than straight down the middle of the mouth IYSWIM.

It works best if they're sat up a bit, then poke the syringe in to one side so it's on the outside of her gums, that way it won't make her gag.

HTH
