my ds will be 7 weeks on Saturday and has been exclusively bf since birth. I have noticed a pattern which bothers me a bit. one boob is obviously favourite and if ds feeds on this one he feeds really nicely - for quite some time and will then go for at least 3 hours no problem. The other boob does seem to have a really fast let down and ds will squirm and fight during a feed. I take him off and burp him (also tried hand expressing a bit before he goes on etc) but generally this is always a less successful feed and ds will want feeding again in less than 2 hours. is this boob 'drying up' quick?? can anyone share any tips?

i have assymetric boobs like that. Dc2 shares Dc1s preference - i can only conclude that they are indeed somehow different. I tend to start on bad side.

I would try and see a BF councellor if I were you. I think I had a similar problem to you a BFC will be able to show you what to do whereas I would probably make it sound a lot harder that it actually is! Good luck.

all babies seem to prefer one boob...try to get him used to both, or at least try feeding him first from least fav boob. I found the least fav didn't 'fill' up as much after a while
