my dd is nearly 7 months and I am wondering if i will be able to drop the dream feed soon, before i go back to work in a few weeks. she is bf morning and before bed (6.30pm), ff during the day and then has about 4 oz of formula at around 10pm. she then sleeps till about 6.30 am.

do i make the dream feed earlier and earlier or make it less and less milk or do i just stop it altogether? she's only been sleeping through for about four weeks.

any advice or experience would be welcome!TIA

I would try missing it out one night and see if she goes through. If she doesn't you'll know she still needs that extra bit of milk. Are you weaning her? That may also help fill her up to sleep at night.

we did this when dd1 was around 6 months (was weaning) and we we simply gave her the bottle 15 mins earlier each night after a week she didnt want it anymore

have just started weaning in the last few days - well, she's slurped some bits of melon, a banana and some broccoli!!

will try missing it one night then if that doesnt work, will try the putting it earlier and earlier approach,
thank you.
