Breast or formula?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering at what point did you stop breastfeeding and go onto formula feeds?

At first I really just wanted to get to the three month mark and then switch to formula, however we are two weeks away from 3 months and I'm still ebf and it's going so well I don't want to stop and want to try and get to 6 months. Literally my only reasons for wanting to switch to formula is for easiness for me which just isn't a good enough reason at all!

6 months, DS decided he preferred the bottle then and I could never get much out expressing so had to go to formula.

I still feel sad about it if I'm honest.

And I found formula a huge faff compared to breastfeeding, sorry.

I found using formula to be a faff, for the short period I was using it. I find breastfeeding to be much simpler and straightforward. Some people find it a faff, others don't.

Having done both formula and breastfeeding, I'd say that once breastfeeding had been successfully established, I definitely found formula to be more of a faff than breastfeeding.

I wouldn't worry about setting an age to aim for - you sound like you've got it sussed
