Has anybody donated breastmilk?

I wanted to donate breastmilk to the hospital for premature babies who needed breastmilk and wondered if anybody had done it?

If so, what was your experience?

I received a withheld call but did not get to it, they called today and it was the blood back at Birmingham women's hospital.

She said I had to give 2.5 ltrs and get bloods done at local drs. Seems okay.

She is going to send literature for me to read and the check with doctors that they will be able to release the blood for testing.

Doctors have never heard of such a request and the lady at reception said I will have to see the doctor to see what tests need doing first. I said they will do the testing. She said if it's a problem then they can reduce the results of the test in writing
