14weeks distracted feeder

DS first feed of the day is full of smiles and cuteness which is very nice but means he only takes 10mins rather than 20-30. I know this is lovely BUT he needs a feed an hour later and it doesn't help our getting ready.

Do I just go with it or is there anything that may help?

With BF, I tend to just go with it. You can't really force it on them. He will get more efficient as he gets older so feeds take a lot less time for them to get the same quantity of milk out.

I know you say he needs a feed an hour later which is frustrating, my DD was like that too. DS is now 15 weeks and doesn't feed quite as frequently as DD used to but at times he does feed within an hour of his last.

It's strange he's only started like this in the last week and only the first feed of the morning. It's lovely that he's so pleased to see me but it's throwing his feed!
