Tommee Tippee bottles always leaking

Hi. Does anyone use these closer to nature bottles? They always seem to leak from the cap that covers the teat. When I go out I take hot water in the bottle and seperate powder and it always leaks out the lid. Don't think DD will take any other bottle.

I dont have this problem with them. One thing I can suggest is that when you assemble them with the water added, etc then unscrew the top section slightly (ring, teat, cap) and then retighten. Something to do with a vaccuum being created due to the hot water and the unscrewing helps release the pressure.

Sounds like the hot water is creating pressure.

Does DD have warm or room temp feeds?

Yes it makes sense about the pressure from the hot water. I use slightly cooled boiled water (which is what they tell you to use) to make the feeds but it always spills out the teat. Any other suggestions?

Don't know if it is relevant to these botles, but with the Avent ones, if you over-tighten them then they leak.

I would suggest going onto the Tommee Tippee website and email them - if there is either a design fault or you are doing something wrong, then they can sort it out!
