Feeding strike - 11 months

Dd (11 months) still tends to bf 5/6 times in every 24 hours. We've come away to my parents for Easter and she's barely been bfeeding at all - yesterday it was twice and today she's only had one proper feed. She's not eating more than normal so I don't think she's making up the lost calories with solids.

She is teething at the moment which probably isn't helping.

How can I encourage her to bf more? I'm uncomfortable and I think she still benefits from breastmilk so ideally I'd like to continue feeding for a while yet.

We're going home tomorrow so I'm hoping she'll settle down then. Fingers crossed!

Hi MyCat, did you get any advice? How is your LO now? I often found sleepy/dream feeds got us through strikes.

Things are much better thanks Red. I think it was all the excitement of being around extended family meant that she had much better things to do than feed. Since we've been home she's back to her normal pattern.

Really glad to hear it! Strikes are very hard on mothers I think!
