I was a 34 DD before I was pg with my first baby. When I was bf-ing they were 36F dropping to 34F when I stopped. I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and a 36G and I'm getting a bit worried about how big they're going to end up and if they will ever return to their pre-baby size. A DD is plenty! I'm 5'4'' and a slim size 10 on the bottom half (when I'm not pg!) but on top I need at least a size 16, often 18 and no amount of clever dressing with wrap-tops and boot cut trousers can disguise the funny shape I am. They're also really heavy! Has anyone else been here?

Yup - am 5 ft and a size 12. I went up to a 34J while feeding (am now 32G). I have the Bravissimo catalogue which is reassuring for big boobies, they have nursing bras in larger sizes, but John Lewis seemed to be ok fro measuring and reasonable stock - not much choice though..

I did weigh them once to convince my self that I hadn't totally eaten all the pies. They were 1.5 stone!!!!

I'm a 38B normally - boobs didn't really grow during pregnancy but balloned afterwards with the Bfing. When laid on my back, my boobs stood to attention and continued to point upwards!! Fantastic . Nearly 7 months down the line, they've shrank to smaller than pre-pregnancy ... even though I'm still BFing twice a day. I've heard that thats common. Oh well - sigh

1.5 stone???!! thats impressive!! mine are 36DD breastfeeding an 8 month old.... want my old smaller ones back though

Was a 30H want up to a 34K/L. Back down to a 32HH now. I thought they'd get smaller after having a baby not bigger!!

Agree with Mudda, Bravissimo are the best.

Oh, I'm only 5' 2" and yes they weigh a bl**dy ton!

Muddaofsuburbia - how did you weigh your boobs??!!
I've gone up from a 34D to a 38F (and am now also using bra expanders!). I was told yesterday at a check-up that I've put too much weight on (2 1/4 stone at 35 wks). But I can't work out how as I've been eating healthily and exercising more than I ever did before being pg. And as I have only really expanded in the bump and boob areas, my husband wondered if it was my boobs pushing my weight up!

Ok - two boob weighing methods!

  1. Bung your bathroom scales on a table and "rest" them on top.

or (more reliable and more fun )
2. Weigh yourself. Then weigh yourself while dh/dp is holding your boobs and subtract!!

Very, very reassuring when you're feeling monstrously overweight cos you can blame it all on your boobs!

Haven't weighed myself since I've stopped b/f so I hope it's a lot less!!
