Hungry baby will only eat after a sleep

He's 17 weeks, for the last 3 days he is giving me signs that he is hungry (rubs mouth, sucks thumb) but cries if I put him to the boob and gets distressed and difficult to settle then will nap and only eat when he wakes. However that's meant only 3 day feeds (and every 3 hours at night when he feeds fine)

He does have reflux but is on maximum rantitadine.

He's also been particularly disengaged today (using very interactive with me but keeps sucking thumb and turning away)

It could be that he's feeling a little unwell? How is he now?

Thank you for answering - I wonder if he may be teething a little so have started some teething gel. Fingers crossed it works

Second teething. My dd was like this and when I had a look in her mouth could see that her gums looked full of little white toothy lumps. Teething gel, granuals if you can get them in (something about the texture of them seems to work well) and paracetamol when it was really bad worked for us. But we had a very bad teether.

We found Dentinox teething gel and ibruprofen worked well.
