Express for comfort, feed the foremilk?

My nearly 7 week old baby has been refusing the breast to the point that last night he didn't feed between 12am and 7. He kept crying if I held him falling sleep on the moses so we just left him. This morning I managed to feed him formula on his bouncy chair.
Anyway, my boobs were lumpy and sore so I expressed for comfort and got 3.5oz. from both breadts. It is watery milk and I am wondering if this is good to feed him? Or is it too watery? I will go to the baby clinic this afternoon but I often find other mums experience is better than health visitors advice!
Thanks.

Yes it's fine to feed him the milk. It's what he would have drunk if you'd have been able to feed him directly.

But he would have got the fattier milk that comes later too, this way he only gets the watery stuff

Up to you I suppose, seems a shame to waste it. It's all calories whether from fat or not.
