When we started on solids the advice was that my DS should still have 18-20ozs a day. When does this reduce?

Im not really sure to be honest, my 16mnth old is on 1 bottle of 8oz a day and milk in her cereal/yoghurts etc.

Jessica is 2.7yrs and has 16oz (in a cup) total a day plus milk in cheese/cereal/yoghurt etc

Thanks JARM - we make 3 bottles of 8oz - and he finished the morning one and the evening one, but not the mid-day - therefore i'm thinking of dropping it - however i'm worried about this

think the 18-20ozs a day includes milk used in cooking, yoghurts etc iirc

perhaps i can reduce the middle of the day bottle then, as he has milk with his cereal (about 4oz's), a yoghurt each day, and usually whatever his tea is - has milk in it too.

from 1 year the minimum is 350mls (around 12 ounces) which is also inclusive of dairy products, milk with cereal, etc

p.s. my dd went down to 2 bottles at around 9 months - 1 in the morning and 1 at bedtime. The rest of her intake was yoghurt, cheese sauces, milk with cereal, etc

Ds is 10 months and I'm trying to reduce from 4 bottles to 3. He has 21oz and wakes up for another 7 in the night so I might go back to 4 bottles. I don't think it's bad for them to have more milk as long as they are eating a balanced mix of solids as well. The guidelines only are about minimum amounts
