Feeding strike from 7 month old, please help

Can someone please help me as I am very perplexed. My 7 month old has been on solids for about a month, but not eating very much (1 cube of fruit or veg with baby rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner, sometimes a small baby yogurt). Until a week ago he was also having about 32 oz of milk ( combination of breast and formula) per day. Then, he suddenly seemed to decide to stop drinking milk, going down to maybe 8-10oz total during the day. Surely that's not enough! He seems happy, still enjoying his food and has wet nappies. What's going on?

Do you make sure to always offer the milk first before solids? And stall a bit before offering solids? The milk is more nutritionally balanced for him. Some people would say that the solids should only be for fun at this age, and the milk needs to stay his main source of nutrition.

I tried no solids one afternoon to see if that would entice him to drink more milk, with no effect, and I do always give the milk first. Any ideas what's going on?

Mine did that, just went so keen on solids they wouldn't have their milk. Maybe you just have to persevere, as long as he's taking some milk, that's better than none. My babies reverted to milk-aholics around 10-11 months, if that's any consolation.
