Breastfeeding easier at 6 weeks?

I keep reading that breastfeeding becomes easier at around 6 weeks. My question is in what way? Less feeds? Getting over initial latch problems? Longer between feeds? Shorter feeds?

Yes to all of these for me. And also your nipples toughen up. (The glamour)

It was so much easier by 6 weeks for me. Bearable by two weeks, but easy by 6.

I think your nipples harden up, you and the baby know what you're doing and they feed a bit quicker.

Hi I breastfed until my daughter was 16 months old. I stopped when I start working. It will get easier in time as you feed more. I didn't give my daughter any formula at all and only I breastfed her and also gave her solids after 6 months old. It is a hard job for mums but good for your baby. Just give it some time.

Yup 6 weeks was the magic week with both my DC. Everything just fell into place. And yes the nipples can handle more so less chance of cracks etc.
