oh no were regressing!

My son was breastfed until 14 months as i gradually weaned him off the boob. Since then hes had the occasional feed normally when hes ill. However about 10 days ago he seemed to be getting a cold so i fed him and thought it would be a one off but since then hes been feeding for half an hour each night! Ive tried to be stricter but last night he was hysterical so i gave in. What can i do?

Don't know on that one sorry Blue. Are you home alone at this time or is there someone else home? Just wondering if it might be worth disappearing in the evening for a few nights and his Dad or another adult could put him to bed instead.

Thanks i dont want to give in with him but he was so upset last night i did. My fiance put him down tonight and he seems to be settling

That's good. Is he going to put him down again tonight?

Im not sure because hes out with some friends tonight. I loved bf did it for 14 months but cant go back to night feeds x

It's probably just a phase. I fed my ds1 for almost 3 years and in that time, when he was poorly, he only wanted to bf.
I just went with it and it settled back to normal when he felt better.
