Using medela accessories with phillips advent pump?

Hi Everyone, I got an unopened medela accessories pack while in the hospital (breastshield, valvehead and membrane, tube etc). I have a phillips advent pump which was given to me and I wondered whether they are compatible? I assembled the medela accessories and attached to the phillips pump - seems to be working fine. I don't want to use the accessories that came with the pump because of risk of thrush infection etc. and I know the hospital ones are new and entirely sterile.

Anyone out there have any thoughts on this or done something similar?

Just to add to this - is there any way that thrush could get to the breast pump through the tube? I know the previous user had bad thrush which is why I am concerned.

As far as I know the medela parts aren't sterile, you need to sterilise them yourself. Just the breastshield, yellow cap and membrane. Why not just sterilise the correct parts for the pump you have been given?
