b/f- when expressing how much do I give

Ive been expressing milk since my DD's birth and over the weekend would like DP to give one of the night feeds to let me catch up with some sleep. DD is 3 weeks old and last night she drunk 6ozs of expressed milk. My friend who bottlefed said that 6ozs was a lot to have at one feed. This is all new to me and so im uncertain how much I should be putting in a bottle for her. She drunk it all with no persuading so I was assuming she wanted it or wouldnt she have left some.
Thanks

You might want to check what kind of nipples you're using. Some babies will drink more than they want, particularly with fast nipples. 6 ozs is a way lot (I think my DD at 15 weeks has an all-time record of 4). But if you're using slow-flow nipples and she didn't spit it back up, well, she must just have wanted a whole bunch. You must make a lot of milk!

Ive been using the Avent slow flow teats as they are supposed to be better for bf babies as they make the sucking harder. Ive only been expressing 4ozs at a time so she ended up going through 2 lots. I was really worried when i first started bf as she would only feed for 5-10 minutes. but after seeing how quickly she drunk 6 ozs ive got no worries. Im going to end up with a 1 stone baby soon. She wasnt sick or anything and only went 4 hours before her next feed.

Well, it sounds like what you have there is a really happy baby and fantastic milk production. Congratulations.
