Past a year? Two? Or 6 months?

Seems to depend where you are/who you are talking to. In this area, breastfeeding past 6 months was a rarity when I had ds1. However I was strong minded so did my own thing

Nowadays (two decades later) I know quite a few mums who have fed past a year, and some past two years. So thankfully the tide is turning the right way. At last.

I often wonder what great discoveries will be made in the future about the effects of returning to longer-term breastfeeding. Will there be a drop in people suffering from allergies and other health problems which seem to be connected to diet? Suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

Why do you ask, lunavix?
