Too many solids?

DD is 8mths and eats a lot of solids (and still has 3 good breast feeds a day - unless teething):

6.30am bf
8am 3 cubes cereal and fruit
10am fruit snack
12.30pm 3 cubes savoury, yoghurt
2.30pm bf
4.45pm 3 cubes savoury, fruit
6.45pm bf

My ice cubes are pretty large too. She loves her solids and is putting weight on steadily, sticking nicely to her centile (about 20th). Thing is whenever my mother comes and visits she is horrified by the amount of food DD eats and goes on about how I'm going to make her obese. Should I just tell her to shut up and count my blessings while DD is not a fussy eater, or should I be stressing?

Am in same boat almost. My 7 month old has same number of feeds nad normally has 4 big cubes! I'm just relieved she loves solids so much as she is on the 20th as well and is quite small weight-wise. Just be pleased like me I reckon.

Sounds normal to me.

If you read the unmentionable weaning book the suggestion is 3 tsp of porridge and half banana for breakie 6 cubes for dinner and 6tsp baby rice and 2 cubes of fruit for tea at 6 months of age so what your giving is fine.

DS is 6 months and hes having the above and is only 20 centile.

Ditto to what Kbaby said. My DS is 6.5 months and between the 25th and 50th centiles. There's not an ounce of excess fat on him that's not baby chubbiness. I really wouldn't worry Klaramum.
