Do you present all of the food you plan to give them in one go or put a little at a time on their high chair tray?

DS is 10 months old and a good eater but not sure which is the best way to do it.

At one point, If I put it all on, a piece would be selected and the rest thrown on the floor. Replace it all on the tray, and repeat.

Now, he happily picks what he wants from the tray and doesnt fling much. I'm afraid you'll have to give it a go and see what works for you.

I put a few bits at a time on. Just starting to put things in bowls and on plates etc. Too much seems to be overwhelming for ds who is otherwise a great eater. Friends ds eats less well but reliably eats from proper plates. Both 14 months.

Few bits at a time

As fast as things were ready and cool enough usually. Sometimes less is more.
