Itchy itchy itchy nipple

I'm 5mo pg and my milk stopped a few months ago. Ds is still dry nursing tho. In an effort to dissuade him I put a plaster over one of my nipples. Now it's become itchy inside and out. No pain or discharge (or milk). Any ideas?

Late reply but it could be thrush- I'd be reaching for some daktarin cream. Any sign of thrush in your DS's mouth or have you manage to keep him away?!
