Recommend an electric pump

I'm looking for an electric breastpump as I used the manual tommee tippee one with dc1 and didn't like it. I could hardly get any milk out so she never fed from a bottle. Did you use an electric pump and would you recommend it?

I've got the Medela swing which has worked well for me.

I'll have a look thanks.

I used the Medala Swing too. It did the job, although it sounds like a demented duck.

Fourormore · 16/09/2016 20:56

Yep, the Medela swing is fantastic, can't fault it.

Should I add it to the mumsnet recommendation thread? Grin

Almeda Lactaline worked brilliantly for me - and it's a sealed system which makes the whole thing much more hygienic.

I like the Phillips Avent one - I used a Medela swing too, but found the Avent much more comfortable, it has nice pads around the flanges.
It's also a closed system (ie the milk can't get into the pump itself) so more hygienic than the Medela.

I used the Ameda Lactaline double pump which was fab - the motor was strong for a home pump (also hired a Medela Hospital Grade pump which was great).

Kinyo on amazon was fantastic. Great reviews too.

This one is awesome. We had a tommee tippee one that was awful but borrowed one of these from our early years centre. Best thing we ever did. Had everything not gone to pot we'd have bought one.

ItchyFoot · 16/09/2016 22:24

Definitely like the look of the ameda ones

Medela mini has been my most effective and reliable

I second the ardo calypso. A closed system which is much better imo.
