Hi
Is it normal that my dd2 will only take 2-3 ounces of milk in a feed at 7 weeks old?
She was bf for first 2 weeks but was wanting fed every 20-30 mins and it got a bit to much for me.
I put her on the bottle and she was taking 3-4 ounces evry 2-3 hours and had even finished 4 ounce bottles every now and again.
I put her on to the larger avent bottles to try and get her to take 5 ounces and now she is back to taking 2 or 3 ounces.
Sounds silly but could it be the larger bottle freaking her out or is it normal just not to be a big eater.
DD1 was never like this and HV never seems to answer the question.
She's also on farleys 1st milk with size3 teat.
Am i just fretting over nothing as she is putting on weight

That's just what my two did, as soon as you think they need more and you go to the bother of making more they don't drink it, even if they've been draining their bottle! I think they go through 'growth spurts' and need more milk to get through it then maybe drop off again.

How much does she weigh? Does she settle after the feed / go 3-4 hours between? Does she take a bigger feed before bed? So many questions! Sounds like she's ok if she's putting on weight though.

She weighs 9lb 13oz now, 2 lb heavier than her birth weight. I changed from avent to tommee tippee closer to nature bottles last night and she took to the teat straight away. She took the full 4 oz.
Hopefully she'll keep going like this now and not go back to just snacking
