Using alcohol in cooking

I want to make a stew that we can all eat and I usually put ale in the stew as it gives it a much nicer flavour.
I'll be slow cooking it for 6-8 hours so the alcohol will have boiled away.

Will this be OK to give to my 10 month old?

Thanks

Yes. Perfectly OK. The alcohol evaporates and you are just left with taste.
