Dealing with nipples in the dishwasher

Awaiting delivery of dishwasher as sick of washing bottles (and dishes!). i know i can dishwash bottles etc prior to sterilisation (or arguably not bother), but what about the nipples? Will it be ok to dishwash rather than handwash or will that miss bits?

DS is 3 weeks, so a bit paranoid.

i used to pop mine in - they go orange eventually but they are fine. You can buy a special basket like This but that one really pricey! to stop them flying aound inside the dishwasher.
