Help! Colic/reflux/whaaat?!!

DD nearly 5 weeks old and EBD. Night before last she started making choking noises to the point of gasping for air. Her breathing was gargled after feeding with occasional high pitched whine. Also seemed colicky but not distressed.

Went to the doctor saying thought she had silent reflux. He diagnosed her with thrush. I went and bought infacol.

Yesterday was hideous, terrible colic all day, less choking but I was keeping her upright. This culminated in the mother of all screaming fits around 830 and she was inconsolable for an hour. I gave her 1ml of adult gaviscon and stuck her back on the boob - she slept soundly all night apart from 3 feeds.

This morning it all kicks off again! She's currently in the sling asleep. Choking seems to have stopped but the colic/reflux seems to be kicking in.

Does this sound familiar? Any hints/tips?

You gave a five week old baby adult Gaviscon?

I feel for you but you shouldn't give a baby medicine without medical advice. Babies don't get liquid gaviscon, it's a powder added to their milk. Please do go back to GP. If baby needs gaviscon then they will prescribe it.
