this morning dd agreed to suck from a bottle for 1st time. i have bf until now but am going back to work. my first attempt at solids upset her so i decided to try introducing 1 or 2 formula feeds a day.
dd happily took 70ml of HIPP organic. then she seemed to choke and i had to slap her on the back and she was a bit sick and cried. she was then violently sick as i winded her. by this point she was very upset so i put her on the breast where she promptly fell asleep. she is still asleep on breast but retched and vomited in her sleep 5 mins ago.
is this normal? could she be allergic to HIPP? did she just take in too much air with bottle? would you try again tomorrow or change bottle/formula (it was a nuk bottle and it is first brand she has ever sucked from)?
