Hi all

My baby is 15 weeks tomorrow and has been bottle fed from 3 weeks, she is a hungry baby and is now drinking 8oz of milk 5 times a day. She weighed 16lb 10oz. Got raised eyebrows from health visitor. I know there is nothing I can do. Just wanted some reassurance!

I had a visit from my HV today and asked her how often I should bring ds to get weighed - she reckonned once a month was plently if it made me feel better but not to get hung up on weight or compare him to any other baby.

She said she'd be quite happy not weighing him at all as long as he looked well and was growing...

Hurrah for a sensible HV!

Yay, hurray for sensible HV-shonaspurtle . MY usual HV is the loveliest person ever. She texts me back if I text her with a problem.

I was thinking of getting LO weighed again as before she was weighed she'd been constipated for 4 days- prob 2lb lighter now-LOL.

No I am definitely going to stop worrying- thanks to this thread and enjoy her chubby little cheeks.

LOL - my ds (bf) went from the 25th to the 98th centile in 6 weeks - poor lad kept getting inspected every time we went to the clinic (and I was too as they thought I must have been born a cow!) He's 6 now and is tall and scrawny - like his mother!
