Possibly swallowed fish bones

Hey there

My 10 month old may have swallowed fish bones today and I'm so scared.

I cooked a cold fillet and checked - obviously not thoroughly enough - for bones and I caught him just about to put one in his mouth 😥

I took the remaining fish away but I'm petrified he's swallowed before I noticed.

He ate the remainder of his dinner fine, and he's ok in himself but what should I do. I feel such a failure and my partner is just really making me feel awful...which of course I do anyway 😥

Will the bones hurt his inside, should I take him to the Dr I'm so scared they'll think I'm a neglectful mum 😥

It sounds like he'll be absolutely fine to me.
Don't beat yourself up - every mother in the face of the planet has had an incident they regret....

I think choking is the main issue with fish bones. Obviously that's not happened so I reckon you're fine! Tell your partner to sod off, a bit more support would be nice!!

Bones are good for them! Lots of calcium Grin

Sardines bones are actively encouraged in fact!

It's a very minor choking risk but clearly baby didn't choke so absolutely nothing to worry about.
