Someone told me that Cow & Gate and Aptamil are the same formulation as C&G own the Aptamil brand. Maybe he wouldn't notice if you got the equivalent C&G. A long shot I know (maybe stick with the powder!).

mnerindisguise · 14/01/2007 21:44

when ds was in hospital the nurse told me the ready made stuff is thicker and creamier so if they have it a lot and you try to give them powdered they will know the diff and reject it.

lulumama · 14/01/2007 21:46

was just going to suggest a different brand , just for tonight, if it is only one feed or so?

NappiesGalore · 14/01/2007 21:46

really twinkle? thats interesting, am prepared to try that theory out (tho i cant be arsed to do it tonight now - lets just hope that he accepts the stuff we've got when he wakes in the night. shouldnt be encouraging him to wake for milk anyway, i know i know...

yeh it would be bad, probably make him constipated, sick who knows.

then again my step brother did it with his lo whos now 12 months so who knows.

mrsnoah · 15/01/2007 00:08

Interestingly I have not been able to get these in my Tescos or Boots for a while now. Must be a manufacturing problem.
Get the formula in the tin.

NappiesGalore · 15/01/2007 14:38

thanks mrs noah. have just been to waitrose and bought the whole shelf full of the ready made stuff, ta.

he was refusing the tinned/powdered stuff for some reason. anyway, hes 1 this month so ill be mixing the stuff he likes w cows milk to get him on that so i wont have to bother w all this formula hassle. how people do it from birth is beyond me; i couldnt be that organised if my life depoended on it!
