Hi This is what I did with our dd who is now nearly 1.

No we jsut left the formula scoop in the powder.

We sterilised the bottles before each use until 6 months then gave up sterilising because she was eating shoes etc when on floor! Since then we have washed bottles in dishwasher instead of sterilising and I think next time round we will just stick with the dishwasher, more simple.

We also boiled water let cool, then put in frdige either made up or just water, and did enough for 24 hours.

Don't need to sterilise scoop - how can you, they are usually plastic.

I would personalise just sterilise what I need. They don't stay sterile indefinitely.

kbaby, how old is your baby?
i never sterilised the scoop and just left bottles in the steriliser until they were all used. never worried about whether they were still sterile, esp if used within say 24-48 hours.

hes 24 weeks. at the moment i wash all bottles then sterilise them and if i dont use them all, put them in the cupboard, then if i do need one i sterilise it again.

plus doing the scoop every time i make a bottle, i always seem to be sterilising.
