DS is 6 months old and has two meals a day, plus lots of breast milk.

For the past 24 hours he has been "bunged up" - when I'm changing him I can see a lump of poo which is stuck (TMI I know, but it means I know there's something there).

I've taken him off bananas which he loves as I've felt these have bunged him up before, I've included some prunes in his diet, I've massaged his tummy.

It's hurting him to feed now, the pain in his tummy must be really sore.

What else can I do - I would really love him to "explode"!

You could use a tiny glycerol suppositary, that has an instant effect. Or give him some lactulose which softens the poo but takes a few days.

I would take him to the doctor.

Poor little man - get him to the doctor's and see the practice nurse as soon as you can. If not poss, go to the chemists.
