hiccuping baby...

5 day old exclusively breast fed on demand (and it is a high demand! ) gets hiccups after every feed. anything i can do to prevent this? TIA.

not that i know of. it is nothing to worry about.

I don't think there's anything you can do - ds got hiccups every day too as a young baby (and I used to feel him having them when he was in the womb!)

I just thought as long as I let him have a burp mid feed and at the end that was all I could do (he was bottle fed), nothing stopped them coming though until it stopped on it's own.
