steriliser cracked, still ok to use?

it's a plug in sterliser
these sterilisers come ready-made with holes in to let out a bit of the steam, and no stuff is likely to get into the crack (it's not like i'm going to spill food on it, it's not in the kitchen), so that's why i'm thinking that it might be ok but if anyone's got any advice then that would be useful. Can't afford £60 for new one!!!!

Not sure but if you want to replace it, could you go old school with an ice cream tub and a bottle of Milton? Smile

thanks jilted, good idea if I get really stuck but thankfully my other steriliser has fixed itself!
