hi I have a 6 six old baby who really suffers with trapped wind we have tried numerous bottles and different teats none of which seemed to make any difference, also tried gripe water, infacol & dentinox any one have any suggestions??

I would keep up the infacol use each feed but also try baby massage. There are several techniques that help with wind. Other than that, it's just something they go through and a little trial and error to help them ease their discomfort.

are you breast or bottle feeding?
if breast, then really watch what you eat - cut down dairy, cut out caffeine/alcohol, no cabbage, spices, nothing. drink fennel and chamomile tea.
It does pass - 6 weeks in it should start to ease soon.

I'm having the same problem. I did realise the other day that I shake the bottle vigourosly to dissolve formula powder - so I guess dd was swallowing alot of air! I am mostly bf, with just the occassional formula top-up, and after 2 days of no formula, she was a lot happier. But she had a bottle today - let's see what happens tomorrow!
