Sophie La Giraffe - Wash or Sterilise?

As it says in the title!!!!
I've binned my packaging but I've been washing Sophie but does anyone sterilise their Sophie or will it ruin her?

She won't squeak if you sterilise her. I just wash her in hot bubbley water with a finger sealing her squeaker!

The squeaker will dry out again if you put her in a warm place eg your airing cupboard for a couple of days after hot washing. Did this loads for all my DC who each had a Sophie.

Thanks for the tips - just want to keep Sophie clean!!!!!
Well worth the money for anyone reading this thread my daughter loves her and so does my nephew x
