Breastfeeding 17 months

My dd is 17 months and is now down to a feed in the morning and a feed at night with the occasional afternoon feed if she is tired and wants help to fall over to sleep.
Feel really selfish saying this as she really does still enjoy feeding from me but I feel ready to stop feeding her now it takes a long time to settle her at night whereas if her dad or grandparents are around at bedtime she will take a bottle from them and fall over quickly.
Can I just go cold turkey or should I gradually reduce feeds?

I stopped at 17m with DS, who was also only feeding last thing and night and first thing in the morning. I just stopped offering, and actually he wasn't bothered at all. So I effectively went cold turkey - I didn't have any problems in doing so.

At 16mths my ds was down to one feed in the morning, barely on each boob for 2mins. I felt ready to stop so just went cold turkey one day and he never asked again. Good luck, I'm sure it'll be fine Smile
