Infant feeding

Milk for a 11/12 month old

Hi

My son is nearly one and I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether a one year old needs milk at bedtime or indeed at all. He was weaned early at 4.5 months and as he got into solids more he began to go off milk to the point that he would only take it either from a bottle or beaker first thing in the morning and at bedtime. Now trying to get him to have milk at bedtime is such a war that it ruins his routine and bedtime has been a nightmare. Tonight I haven't forced it and he has gone to bed like clockwork.

He has a lot of diary diet to compensate with milk in porridge, lots of white sauces, mashed potato, vegetables in a cheesy sauce, yoghurt, fromage frais etc etc and eats really well and his weight is good and he's developing well.

So is ok to drop this last feed or is it too early?

Thanks

Between one and two he should be having a minimum of 300 floz per day. So if he's getting that, you can give up the last feed.
