So I have a 12 week old DD, ebf but not without issues some of which seem to be ongoing.
Quick version... DD took a couple of very small bottles of breast milk at 5 weeks and would suck a finger eagerly. Posterior TT divided at 7 weeks and has not since sucked anything but the breast. Dummy, bottle, finger, her own thumb all either completely baffle her with no attempt to suck or they make her gag or both. This has meant unable to do suck training and improve latch as suggested by lactation consultant. Also no break for me... still feeding all the time and exhausted!
Is this normal? When do babies automatic suck reflex disappear?
