Breastfeeding 7 months in sore nipple

Hi, I'm 7 months in to breastfeeding my small fella and my left nipple is really sore the last few days and it's becoming painful to feed on that side. Iv tried airing, putting breastmilk on it and putting lanolin nipple cream and nothing is helping.

If I went to pharmacy would they have something for me?

You could try doctor in case it's mastitis or another infection - in which case they'd give you antibiotics.

I do have doctor appointment for Friday morning for a different matter but wonder is that too far away

Try Multi Mam compresses from Boots. Amazing things. Saved my nipples in the early days when sore. Put them in the fridge before use for extra relief. They will get you through until you see the dr and work out what's going on. Hope you get it sorted soon BrewCake

Thrush? You can try pharmacy but ime as soon as you say you are breastfeeding they won't give you anything without a prescription from yur gp. Worth a shot though.

I think there is a cut there
