Farty baby

I know I am just being paranoid for the hundredth time today, but I'm sat here listening to DS do the most enormous adult-sounding perps. He does loads of them all in a row. Sometimes they bother him, sometimes not. He is breastfed and only poos every 4-6 days. Is it normal for babies to pass wind quite so much? Is there anything which a windy bottom might be symptomatic of?

Yes thisis perfectly natural. Sometimes what you eat may affect his wind too. But put it this way'better out than in'! . So much better than having trapped wind.....

DS was like this before he started solids I had a look on kellymom and it said it was perfectly normal for bf babies.
I think it is normal for all babies. DS still does loud comedy farts and it is soooo funny this HUGE noise (and smell) coming out of such a wee thing

i'm sure it's normal - i had a meeting at ds school in the hall with all the other mums from his class. took dd with me and at ever silent moment or when the headteacher paused for a breath dd would either let out the most enormous belch or a really loud and long fart. Everyone around me was in stitches and no one could concentrate on what we were there for
